These are group of viruses common among animals. These are transferred from animals to humans. It ranges from a normal cough to severe illness like respiratory syndrome.
The word ‘corona ‘ means halo which is a latin word. Under a microscope, it looks like a solar corona.
Being infected from different species of animals, the origin of virus such as MERS-CoV , SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV 2 are found in bats.
It’s been called a pandemic as it spread from person to person sustainabily. Pandemic refers to the outbreak where virus infect the person and spread easily worldwide.
Symptoms
According to WHO, various symptoms has been found such as :-
• dry cough
• runny nose
• breathing issue
• fever
• sore throat
• fatigue
• throat pain
Severe cases of this disease leads to heart failure, or even death. The symptoms may occur within 5 to 6 days.
Firstly, the throat is infected through communication or any other cause. The infection remains in throat up to 4 days, which is quite longer period.

Till today, there are 183116 cases and 7175 deaths over worldwide. China, is suffering the most with more than 80,000 cases.

According to the study of Wuhan, China, the rate of risk is higher in some cases which includes:
1. Aged adults
2. People with serious medical illnesses like heart disease, lung disease, diabetes.
How COVID-19 can be avoided?
Yes, coronavirus is dangerous but not if you take it’s prevention seriously. You need to be aware of your surroundings and avoid going out of your home.
1. Always wear mask whenever going outside .
2. Avoid touching escalator.
3. Use elbow to press lift buttons.
4. Use your back to push the door.
5. Avoid smoking cigarettes.
6. Avoid shaking hands.
7. Wash your hands in every 30 minutes so that the germs get destroyed.
8. Drink warm water as much as you can in order to fight coronavirus.
9. Don’t touch you face, nose, or eyes.
10. Last but not the least, DO NOT PANIC.
